How would you go about introducing and building ICT use at your school?

1. Ensuring the success of plans.

My role in ensuring that these plans are successful is getting everything prepared like training for teachers, get an ICT person to come in and demonstrate what needs to be done. Hire an ICT trained administrator who will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the tools.

2. Help Learners develop relevant 21st century skills.

To help 21st century learners develop relevant skills they will need I will embed the use of ICT tools within the curriculum.

How would you ensure that your colleagues are not only enlightened but willing to use ICT tools as well?

Firstly educators should have a role to play in evaluating and choosing the ICT Tools, and they need to be an integral part of the overall process.

To ensure that the tools are used, I would bring in an ICT expert to show my colleagues what ICT can do in our classroom and how we can help the children learn to use ICT in various subjects.

How would you go about introducing and building ICT use at your school?

Firstly ensure that teachers are comfortable with tools. Have training for teachers. Integrate the use of technology into the curriculum. Make sure that teachers are constantly using these tools. I will have refresher courses to keep teachers up to date with the latest technologies, Most importantly I will hire a trained ICT person to work with teachers and also to monitor and keep all the systems in working order.
