In the Caribbean today, they are so many readily accessible ICT tools that can assist with the development of higher order skills among our learners.

According to Unesco.org Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have become a fixture of classrooms in many parts of Latin America and the Caribbean. From low-cost radio and television to laptops and smartboards, teachers are using technology to enhance and extend learning ((UNESCO, 2012).

Some readily accessible ICT tools in the Caribbean today that can assist with the development of higher order skills among learners are Blogs, wikis, social networks and learning management systems,

Blogs facilitate learning by influencing participants to extend the range of interpretations which can be made from a posted log, as well as leading participants to make new connections among different positions.

Wikis are tools for multiple authors rather than a single author, and these authors jointly edit pages to produce a single collaboratively prepared resource; therefore there is a many-to-many form of communication.
